Position Summary
Savaria is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler to support warehouse and production operations. This role is responsible for the accurate movement, storage, and tracking of materials while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
Key Responsibilities- Pick, pack, and deliver parts to designated areas in a timely manner
- Complete transfer documentation accurately within the MK system
- Receive incoming materials and verify against documentation
- Process mixed skids and ensure proper sorting and handling
- Label and store materials in appropriate warehouse locations
- Perform cycle counts (monthly, year-end, and as required) to support inventory accuracy
- Operate material handling equipment such as pump trucks
- Safely push carts/buggies carrying parts (100 lbs or more) on a regular basis
- Use stair ladders as required (must be comfortable working at heights)
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization (housekeeping duties)
- Assist other departments and team members as required
- Support overall team operations and workflow efficiency
- Participate in outdoor tasks as needed
- Follow all health and safety procedures, maintaining a safety-first mindset
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred
- Ability to lift, push, and move heavy materials (100 lbs+) repeatedly
- Comfortable using ladders and working at heights
- Experience operating a pump truck; forklift and/or Raymond reach certification is an asset
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse systems (MK experience is an asset)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and willing to assist in different areas as needed
- Physically demanding role involving lifting, pushing, and standing for extended periods
- Combination of indoor warehouse work and occasional outdoor tasks
- Fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and adaptability
