Title: Industrial Cleaner

Location: Toronto - Onsite (M9L 2V4)

Shift time: 2:00pm to 10:00pm (Shift Premium - $1.00/HR)

Position Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic Industrial Cleaner to join our team! This position will be responsible for keeping the building in a clean and orderly condition, and will perform heavy cleaning duties by operating a scissor lift and manual/powered handling equipment to wash walls and floors. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities and notifying management of the need for repairs.

Key Responsibilities

Follow assigned cleaning schedule to clean the facilityUse equipment such as a forklift / scissor lift Use manual or powered equipment to dust, sweep, vacuum, scrub, disinfectClean facility equipmentWear required PPE, respirator, safety glasses, gloves and shoesIdentify and communicate potential needs for repairs, safety or maintenance issues to supervisorsSupport maintenance department as required

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent work experience Ability to be certified in Scissor Lift and Fall Arrest Ability to be certified in Working at HeightsForklift license and WHMIS training would be an assetAbility to multi-task and establish prioritiesPositive attitude and strong work ethic Must be physically fit and able to operate heavy equipment

Job Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and suppliesFamiliarity with Material Safety Data Sheets would be an advantage
