Project Manager - Temp to Perm

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager - Temp to Perm based in United States.

This is a six-month contract-to-permanent opportunity for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead complex technology initiatives from initiation through closeout.
You will coordinate cross-functional teams, implementation resources, contractors, and stakeholders to keep projects aligned with scope, timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
The role combines project leadership, risk management, stakeholder communication, financial oversight, and hands-on project coordination.
You will serve as a central point of contact, translating technical details into clear business outcomes for both technical and executive audiences.
The position offers exposure to cloud, data, networking, telephony, software, and other enterprise IT environments.
Success requires strong organization, independent judgment, problem-solving ability, and a customer-focused approach in a fast-moving environment.
The role is fully remote and provides an opportunity to grow into a long-term position based on performance and business needs.

Accountabilities
  • Lead projects across the full project management lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing, while ensuring adherence to established methodologies, standards, and guidelines.

  • Establish and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, critical paths, risk and issue logs, and supporting documentation.

  • Track project budgets, time, expenses, subcontractor costs, forecasts, and other financial information to maintain control over project performance.

  • Facilitate project team meetings, recurring client meetings, workshops, and stakeholder sessions; document decisions, action items, and follow-ups.

  • Provide regular, comprehensive project status updates covering progress, risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, timelines, and upcoming activities.

  • Manage project risks, conflicts, scope changes, issues, and escalation processes while developing appropriate contingency and mitigation plans.

  • Coordinate cross-functional interdependencies and maintain clear, timely communication between business, technical, client, and implementation teams.

  • Define project success criteria and establish shared expectations with team members and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Support and guide project team members and contractors, encouraging accountability, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and effective execution.

  • Serve as a central point of control for project coordination, communication, escalation, and issue resolution.

  • Conduct project postmortems and develop recommendations and lessons-learned reports to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Build strong client and business relationships that contribute to successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Manage multiple customers and projects simultaneously while maintaining delivery quality and responding effectively to changing priorities.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager with responsibility for leading project teams and delivering technology initiatives.

  • 5+ years of experience working with cloud, data, networking, telephony, software, or related IT technologies.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; PMP certification is also preferred, although substantial practical experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and experience working with both waterfall and agile methodologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, budgets, documentation, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio.

  • Strong understanding of project tracking, communication, budget management, and collaboration technologies.

  • Excellent facilitation skills, with the ability to lead meetings, workshops, and discussions involving both technical and non-technical participants.

  • Solid technical understanding and the ability to define, clarify, and refine requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage shifting priorities and demanding timelines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.

  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide a consistently high level of customer service.

  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, take initiative, and manage confidential information professionally.

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to mentor junior colleagues and share knowledge.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and customers concurrently while minimizing the impact of interruptions and competing priorities.

  • Adaptability and willingness to quickly learn and apply new technologies and technical concepts.

Benefits
  • Six-month contract-to-permanent structure with potential for long-term employment based on performance and business needs.

  • Fully remote work environment.

  • Opportunity to lead diverse enterprise IT projects across cloud, data, networking, telephony, software, and related technologies.

  • Exposure to cross-functional teams, technical stakeholders, business leaders, and customers.

  • Opportunities to develop project leadership, technical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Collaborative environment emphasizing knowledge sharing, mentorship, customer service, and professional development.

  • Equal employment opportunity and a workplace committed to non-discrimination and inclusion.
