About the Role:

The Retail Team Leader plays a pivotal role in driving the success of retail operations by leading and motivating a team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets. This position requires overseeing daily store activities, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth. The Retail Team Leader acts as a bridge between store management and staff, facilitating clear communication and efficient execution of company policies and initiatives. By analyzing sales data and customer feedback, the leader identifies opportunities for improvement and implements strategies to enhance store performance. Ultimately, this role is essential in creating a welcoming shopping experience that builds customer loyalty and supports the overall business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a retail environment with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leader role.
• Strong understanding of retail operations and customer service principles.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as required.
• Basic proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher in Business, Retail Management, or related field.
• Experience with staff scheduling and labor cost management.
• Familiarity with retail analytics and sales reporting tools.
• Demonstrated success in coaching and developing high-performing teams.
• Certification in retail management or leadership training programs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop retail team members to achieve individual and store performance goals.
• Manage daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and merchandising standards.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and prompt resolution of issues.
• Monitor sales performance and implement action plans to meet or exceed targets.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and loss prevention procedures.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, share best practices, and motivate staff.
• Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees to build a skilled and engaged team.
• Collaborate with management to plan and execute promotional activities and store events.
