HVAC/Residential Maintenance Technician PTU in Springfield, Oregon at COMFORT FLOW HEATING CO

Comfort Flow Heating is looking for an HVAC/Residential Maintenance Technician PTU to join our Springfield team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined and interested in building a long-term career in the HVAC industry.

The Residential HVAC Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, inspections, and duct cleaning services on residential heating and air conditioning systems in accordance with company standards. This position is responsible for providing high-quality service while maintaining a professional, courteous, and customer-focused experience. No previous HVAC experience is required.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Previous HVAC experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints preferred.
• Must possess or be able to obtain EPA certification within three months of entering the position.
• Knowledge of residential HVAC maintenance and duct cleaning practices preferred.
• Basic written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to learn and apply new HVAC technologies, procedures, and industry practices.

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of residential HVAC equipment in accordance with company standards.
• Identify potential problems that may affect the current or future performance of HVAC systems.
• Effectively communicate system conditions, maintenance recommendations, and identified concerns to customers.
• Demonstrate a commitment to developing and maintaining strong customer service skills.
• Perform residential duct cleaning services according to company procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and good working condition of assigned company vehicle.
• Report vehicle mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of parts, supplies, tools, and safety equipment in the company vehicle.
• Travel to residential job sites throughout the assigned service area.
• Work closely with dispatch to maintain the daily schedule and promptly communicate delays or scheduling concerns.
• Participate in company-provided training, seminars, and educational opportunities to develop technical knowledge and remain current with industry technologies.
• Identify and communicate potential opportunities for additional services, including system upgrades, maintenance agreements, and other services that may benefit the customer.
• Complete required paperwork, service documentation, timecards, and customer records accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable industry standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Work is primarily performed at residential customer locations and may require driving between multiple job sites during the workday.

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record; must be insurable under company insurance requirements.
• Ability to work evenings and/or weekends on a rotating basis to respond to emergency customer needs.
• Excellent time-management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in a variety of weather and temperature conditions.
