Ventrac Sales Specialist in Grimes, Iowa at MTI Distribution

Pay: $70,000–$85,000/year

MTI is seeking a Ventrac Sales Specialist to grow Ventrac equipment sales and market presence throughout Iowa. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, building customer relationships, conducting equipment demonstrations, and serving as the Ventrac product expert across commercial, municipal, golf, landscaping, agriculture, and contractor markets.

• Drive sales growth by identifying, developing, and managing new and existing customer opportunities.
• Conduct on-site equipment demonstrations and recommend solutions based on customer needs and applications.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, contractors, schools, golf courses, landscape professionals, acreage owners, and other commercial customers.
• Provide consultative sales support throughout the customer buying process, from prospecting through delivery and follow-up.
• Partner with Territory Managers and internal teams to generate leads, coordinate demonstrations, and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Manage sales activities, customer accounts, and pipeline opportunities through Salesforce CRM.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitive products, and market opportunities to expand Ventrac market share.
• Travel extensively throughout Iowa to support customers, demonstrations, and business development efforts.

• Experience in equipment sales, account management, customer support, turf management, landscaping, agriculture, construction, or related industries preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and demonstrate equipment applications.
• Experience with CRM systems, territory management, and business development preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; ability to travel throughout Iowa.
• Experience towing trailers and transporting equipment is a plus.
