Description:

Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County (BGCLC) is a place for kids to laugh, a place to learn, a place to grow, and a place to belong.

BGCLC is looking for energetic, fun-loving, adaptable, youth-focused individuals to help foster a fun, safe, and positive before and after school experience.

If you are somebody who is passionate, fun loving, and energetic, consider joining the Boys & Girls Club in helping to foster a safe and positive before and after school experience for youth in Larimer County.

In this position, you will:

  • Greet and check in every member, staff member, and volunteer in and out of the Club each day.
  • Communicate with parents about Club services and activities.
  • Ensure the physical, social, and emotional safety for all Club Members.
  • Act as a role model and mentor for youth ages 5 - 18 (ages vary based on the Club location).
  • Lead school-aged youth in different activities such as academic enrichment, recreation, technology, sports, and the arts.
  • Accurately enter and update all Club member information into databases.
  • Assist with daily transportation routes as needed

You must be willing to:

  • Have fun, laugh & be silly!
  • Be present and engage with Club Members.
  • Be a role model for Club Members.
  • Have the ability to deal with the general public.
  • Have strong verbal & written communication skills.
This is a non-exempt, part-time position with an hourly rate of $16.00/hour. Requirements:

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience

  • Must have at least three 3 months (455 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of four 4 or more children over the ages of four 4 (not related to the individual). or
  • A current early childhood professional credential level I one (1) or higher in version 3.0 as determined by the CDEC based on its Early Childhood Professional Credential 3.0

Specialized Skills

  • Bilingual Spanish speaking is preferred.
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior issues.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, secure personal information and comply with mandated reporting requirements.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a criminal/driving records investigation and reference checks.
