Senior Organic Growth & AEO Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Organic Growth & AEO Manager based in the United States.

This is a strategic, hands-on opportunity to shape how an enterprise software business is discovered across traditional search and emerging AI-driven search experiences. You’ll own the global SEO and AEO strategy, connecting technical optimization, content, AI visibility, and business growth. The role combines deep technical expertise with experimentation, automation, and cross-functional leadership. You’ll influence how buyers discover, evaluate, and engage with solutions across search engines and generative AI platforms. Working closely with marketing, content, product, web, and revenue teams, you’ll turn search insights into measurable pipeline and conversion impact. You’ll also help establish scalable AI-powered workflows and playbooks that enable teams to optimize content more effectively. This is an opportunity to help define organic growth strategy in an increasingly AI-first search landscape.

Accountabilities
  • Define and lead the global SEO and AEO strategy, including goals, KPIs, roadmaps, topic priorities, and initiatives aligned with business outcomes.
  • Research buyer questions, keywords, search gaps, and competitive opportunities, translating findings into prioritized topic hubs and question-based content strategies.
  • Drive on-page optimization across titles, metadata, headings, internal links, structured content, and other technical and editorial SEO elements.
  • Monitor visibility across generative search and AI platforms, with a focus on increasing accurate citations, recommendations, and presence for priority topics.
  • Implement AEO best practices including schema markup, FAQs, structured data, conversational content formats, and AI-friendly information architecture.
  • Build and maintain AI-powered skills, agents, GPTs, prompts, and automated workflows using tools such as Claude, Zapier, and Make to accelerate content optimization.
  • Ensure AI crawler accessibility across priority website content through appropriate robots.txt and WAF configurations, while maintaining and updating llms.txt.
  • Conduct technical SEO audits covering crawlability, indexing, schema, Core Web Vitals, site performance, and other web health factors.
  • Use AEO tracking platforms to evaluate AI visibility, citations, recommendations, narrative accuracy, and emerging opportunities across generative search engines.
  • Partner with web development and design teams to integrate SEO, UX, accessibility, performance, and responsive design best practices into new and existing experiences.
  • Collaborate with product marketers, subject-matter experts, finance and product teams, copywriters, and content specialists to create and continuously refresh high-value, buyer-focused content.
  • Establish a scalable content refresh framework that prioritizes pages based on search opportunity, AI visibility, business value, and performance.
  • Optimize and repurpose content across blogs, landing pages, solution pages, competitor comparison pages, listicles, videos, and other formats.
  • Educate marketing and content teams on SEO and AEO practices while providing repeatable AI workflows that support self-service optimization.
  • Lead third-party authority and backlink strategies across review platforms, industry publications, practitioner communities, social platforms, marketplaces, and other sources frequently referenced by AI engines.
  • Strengthen video discoverability and AEO performance through accurate transcripts, buyer-intent titles, structured chapters, and question-focused video content.
  • Partner with PR, social, and other teams to expand authority, backlinks, content distribution, and brand visibility.
  • Measure traditional organic search performance as well as AI visibility, share of search, share of AI, referrals, recommendations, conversions, and pipeline contribution.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations and RevOps to improve AI referral attribution through analytics, self-reported lead sources, and dark-funnel measurement.
  • Present regular performance insights, testing results, and strategic recommendations to marketing leadership and key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business with a technical background, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5–7+ years of technical SEO experience, ideally within B2B SaaS, enterprise software, fintech, or similarly complex technology environments.

  • Strong understanding of generative search, AI agents, LLM visibility, AI citations and recommendations, and emerging AEO practices.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm for experimenting with new approaches to AI-powered search and organic growth.
  • Hands-on experience with Sanity, Webflow, or comparable CMS platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency with tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and AI visibility platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, schema markup, technical SEO, crawlability, indexing, site performance, and modern web optimization practices.
  • Experience with AI tooling, prompt engineering, custom GPTs, Claude Skills, agents, or automated workflows is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with workflow automation platforms such as Zapier or Make is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong testing mindset with the ability to turn data and insights into practical recommendations and measurable improvements.
  • A master’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

  • Additional variable compensation may apply.
