FULL TIME CONTRACT (6 MONTHS) JOB OPPORTUNITY CLINICAL SUPERVISOR Salary Range: $37.00 - $47.00 /hr (dependent on experience) |
JOB SUMMARY:
The Mental Health and Addiction team strives to be a safe and welcoming place where individuals, couples, families, and groups can access counselling/treatment, resources, referrals, advocacy, and any other supports or services that will enhance their wellbeing.
The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for supervision and support of the clinical services and program staff of the Mental Health and Addictions team, in the Community Wellness Department.
POSITION DUTIES:
Program Coordination- Assist in the development of annual work plans for the Mental Health and Addictions program in consultation with program staff.
- Identify community needs, trends and opportunities as they relate to mental health and addictions programs/services and implement appropriate interventions to achieve
desired outcome.
- Monitor effectiveness of policies, procedures and systems and recommend changes as required.
- Collaborate in the recruitment and selection of qualified personnel.
- Ensure effective communication within the Mental Health and Addictions Program, Community Wellness Department and with other Sagamok Anishnawbek Departments.
- Ensure that clinical assessments are completed, and plans are developed to support clients within a framework of person-centred and trauma informed care
- Facilitate and lead regular client intake meetings
- Participate in community development as assigned.
- Decision-making is critical in all aspects of program responsibility.
- Develop and implement annual work plans including required training & professional development for all staff.
- Support all clinical staff of the Mental Health and Addictions Program
- Coordinate strategic planning activities for short & long-term program goals.
- Plan, develop, manage and evaluate mental health and addictions programs and services responsive to the needs of the community, consistent with strategic and operational priorities.
- Communications
- Consult with Mental Health and Addiction on programming.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Valid Class G Ontario driver's license, with vehicle with a $1M liability insurance coverage for on-the-job use.
- Respect for, sensitivity towards as well as knowledge and understanding of Anishnawbek culture, traditions, and the Seven Grandfather Teachings.
- Work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the clients and community.
- Must provide Vulnerable Sector Check that is valid within 6 months.
- Subject to six months' probation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Social Work Degree (Master Of Social Work preferred) with a minimum of 3 years direct experience in Mental Health Services.
- Minimum of three years of progressively responsible management and leadership experience.
- Member of or willingness to register with appropriate regulating body, such as the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office suite and experience with electronic health records
- Certified in CPR/First Aid.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills and time management skills
- Knowledge of Sagamok Anishnawbek's challenges and aspirations
