Associate Veterinarian in Purcellville, Virginia at Tally Oaks Veterinary Wellness Center

Tally Oaks Veterinary Wellness Center is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our small animal practice in the Purcellville, Virginia area. We are a patient-focused practice that emphasizes quality over volume, allowing our veterinary team to spend meaningful time with patients and their owners.

Our approach combines traditional veterinary medicine with complementary wellness options when appropriate. We focus on preventive care, individualized treatment plans, patient comfort, and creating a calm, low-stress experience for both pets and their owners.

COMPENSATION

$100 - $150 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

SCHEDULE

• Part-time, approximately 2-3 days per week
• Daytime schedule
• Approximately 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• No regular evening or weekend hours

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats in a scheduled appointment setting.
• Develop individualized treatment and preventive care plans based on each patient's needs.
• Educate pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, wellness, nutrition, and preventive care.
• Provide compassionate, low-stress patient care throughout examinations and treatment.
• Perform or assist with surgery and dentistry procedures when qualified and interested.
• Incorporate complementary therapies and wellness approaches when appropriate.
• Provide in-home euthanasia services when needed.
• Work collaboratively with the veterinary team while maintaining strong professional judgment and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree required.
• Minimum of two years of veterinary experience preferred.
• Small animal clinical experience.
• Strong communication and client education skills.
• Compassionate approach to patient care.
• Strong clinical judgment, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong commitment to professional ethics and integrity.
• Genuine passion for improving the health and quality of life of animals.
