Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Accountabilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure solutions using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
  • Deploy, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot AWS environments to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver efficient cloud-based solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Improve automation processes and operational workflows to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, analyze environments, and recommend performance and optimization improvements.
  • Support cloud-native networking configurations and integrations with on-premises infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to architecture, infrastructure, and operational processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, scalability, and customer service excellence.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience managing Linux/Unix environments, preferably with Red Hat or Ubuntu distributions.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong expertise in AWS services, architecture, networking, and security best practices.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native networking, hybrid infrastructure integration, and least-privilege IAM policy implementation.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
  • Strong scripting or programming skills for automation and operational efficiency.
  • Experience applying cloud resource tagging strategies and infrastructure governance practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities, with the capacity to work across distributed global teams.
  • AWS certifications, ITIL certification, or experience supporting global infrastructure environments are considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with PCI, SOC1, or SOC2 compliance frameworks is advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required.
