Pay Range: $57.69 to $93.41 per hour

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
The nurse practitioner functions as an independent care provider in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
The care is characterized by comprehensive health assessments and management of patients with acute and/or chronic health problems in the cardiovascular service (cardiac cath lab and non-invasive cardiology).
This is an inpatient role
Qualification:
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of New Jersey
- Certified Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Jersey
- Masters/Doctors prepared in Nursing from an accredited program
- ACLS/BLS certified
- Must have cardiac and/or critical care experience
- Strong clinical assessment and decision making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Scheduling Requirement:
- One weekend day shift per month, one weekday shift per month
Essential Functions
- Conducts thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination and diagnostic test results
- Develops and implements comprehensive care plans for patients undergoing cardiac procedures and/or admitted for further evaluation/treatment
- Monitor patients¿ hemodynamic status, ordering, adjusting medications and interventions as needed
- Provide pre and post procedure/ heart failure education and support to patients and their families
- Facilitate discharges for cardiac service line patients
- Provide education to staff and community regarding cardiac conditions and procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, other NPs, nurses, and social workers
