Certified Veterinary Technician, Anesthesia
Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: Full Time | 1st shift | 4 Nine Hour Shifts Per Week | On Call Requirements
Compensation: $25-35/hr for CVTs | $35-45/hr for VTS

In Your Day-To Day, You Will:
- Administer and monitor anesthesia for specialty and emergency patients, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
- Provide exceptional nursing care for hospitalized patients throughout their treatment and recovery.
- Assist surgeons and veterinarians with patient admissions, procedures, and discharges.
- Closely monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia, responding promptly to changes in patient status.
- Maintain accurate medical records and communicate patient updates with the veterinary team.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient care and a seamless client experience.
- Utilize your strong attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-paced specialty and emergency environment.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive team culture while continuously expanding your clinical knowledge and technical skills through ongoing learning and development.
What You Bring:
- CVT/LVT/RVT - Veterinary Technician credentialing is required for this role
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in veterinary anesthesia
- Accuracy in calculating and delivering anesthetic agents, fluids, and CRIs
- Proficiency in record keeping related to medical procedures including daily treatments administered, patient status, procedures completed, supplies used, and anesthetic records
- Understanding and review of medical records pertinent to patient care
- Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring is required
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required.
- Maintain a positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected
