Job Summary
The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, including sales, rentals, service, parts, customer relationships, employees, profitability, and overall branch performance.
This person must be a strong leader, organized, accountable, customer-focused, and able to push the team to do the right thing while performing at a high level.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily operations for sales, rentals, service, parts, and customer support
• Lead, train, motivate, and hold team members accountable
• Drive revenue growth through equipment sales, rentals, service work, and parts sales
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers
• Monitor business performance, expenses, margins, and profitability
• Ensure customers receive fast, professional, and high-quality service
• Help resolve customer issues and make smart business decisions
• Manage workflow between sales, service, rental, delivery, and admin teams
• Review quotes, invoices, work orders, rental agreements, and customer follow-ups
• Help recruit, interview, hire, and train new employees
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and productive work environment
• Set goals for the team and make sure they are being met
• Report regularly to ownership on performance, challenges, and opportunities
• Make sure company policies, procedures, and standards are followed

Job Requirements
• Previous management experience required
• Experience in forklift, equipment, machinery, automotive, trucking, construction, rental, warehouse, logistics, or industrial sales preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage sales, operations, service, and employees
• Strong customer service and problem-solving ability
• Ability to read and understand quotes, invoices, purchase orders, and basic financial reports
• Comfortable using computers, CRM systems, email, and business software
• Must be organized, dependable, and results-driven
• Must be able to make decisions and take responsibility
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass any required background check and drug screening, if applicable

Preferred Qualifications
• Forklift or material handling industry experience
• Experience managing technicians, salespeople, rental fleets, or parts departments
• Strong understanding of service operations and customer account management
• Experience with profit and loss responsibility
• Ability to grow a business and improve team performance
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required
