Job Description
MD Turbines, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to support the procurement of office materials, warehouse supplies, and operational resources. This position is responsible for ensuring departments have the materials and supplies needed to maintain efficient daily operations while managing vendor relationships and purchase records.
The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple purchasing requests in a fast-paced aviation environment.
Responsibilities
Purchase office supplies, warehouse materials, and operational equipment as needed
Obtain pricing, quotes, and availability information from vendors and suppliers
Create and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of stock items
Track orders and ensure timely delivery of purchased materials
Maintain accurate purchasing records, invoices, and vendor documentation
Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, lead times, and order status
Assist with vendor selection and supplier relationship management
Coordinate with department managers to identify purchasing needs and priorities
Support cost-saving initiatives and purchasing process improvements
Perform additional administrative and procurement-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous purchasing, procurement, inventory, or administrative experience preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Skills
Experience with purchasing systems, ERP software, or inventory management systems
Knowledge of vendor management and procurement processes
Experience working in warehouse, manufacturing, aviation, or industrial environments preferred
Familiarity with inventory control and supply chain operations
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
Ability to assist with inventory verification and supply organization when needed
