This role provides high-impact financial and analytical support within a defense-focused acquisition environment, contributing directly to program planning, budgeting, and cost analysis for mission-critical aviation systems. You will act as a key advisor supporting financial management activities across acquisition planning, manpower modeling, and studies and analysis efforts. The position requires strong analytical and financial expertise to develop accurate cost estimates, evaluate trade-offs, and support decision-making at the program level. Working closely with government stakeholders, you will help shape Program Objective Memorandum (POM) inputs and ensure financial rigor across acquisition strategies. The role blends technical consulting with defense financial management, requiring precision, discretion, and a deep understanding of DoD processes. This is a fully remote position with occasional travel, offering the opportunity to contribute to high-visibility national defense programs. You will operate in a structured yet dynamic environment where analytical insight directly supports mission readiness.
- Provide financial management and analytical support for acquisition planning, budgeting, and program cost estimation activities.
- Develop and refine cost estimates for acquisition strategies, contracts, and program lifecycle planning.
- Support Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development and related financial planning processes.
- Conduct manpower analysis, cost modeling, and resource allocation assessments to support decision-making.
- Perform cost-benefit and trade-off analyses to evaluate program and acquisition alternatives.
- Support studies and analysis (S&A) tasks, including business case development and financial reporting.
- Maintain and analyze financial data systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and traceability.
- Assist with acquisition documentation, proposal reviews, and financial inputs for contract modifications.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders to ensure financial alignment with program objectives and constraints.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Active TS/SCI clearance required and must be maintained.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of Department of Defense (DoD) financial management experience.
- Strong understanding of DoD financial systems, budgeting processes, and acquisition lifecycle planning.
- Experience with cost estimating, financial modeling, and program analysis.
- Familiarity with the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and government reporting.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while supporting sensitive government programs.
- Fully remote position with occasional travel (up to 15%) as required.
