We're looking for a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Lead to help keep our Brooklyn warehouse running safely and efficiently.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fixing things, solving problems, and taking ownership of facility maintenance. You'll handle day-to-day building upkeep, basic plumbing repairs, coordinate outside vendors when needed, and help ensure our warehouse remains clean, safe, and operational.
This is a seasonal, temp-to-perm opportunity reporting to the Facilities Supervisor.
Pay: $24-$25/hour based on experience
What You'll Do
- Perform routine building maintenance and repairs throughout the warehouse
- Troubleshoot and complete basic plumbing repairs, including sinks, toilets, drains, and minor leaks
- Coordinate and oversee outside vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are needed
- Conduct regular facility inspections and identify maintenance issues before they become larger problems
- Complete work orders and maintain maintenance records
- Support general building upkeep, including minor carpentry, painting, patching, and repairs
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
- Partner with warehouse leadership to prioritize maintenance needs
- Help ensure a safe and compliant work environment
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues as needed
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of maintenance, facilities, building operations, or related experience
- Basic plumbing experience and the ability to troubleshoot common issues
- Experience working with vendors or contractors is a plus
- Comfortable using basic technology such as email and mobile apps
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Reliable, organized, and proactive
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physical maintenance work
