Job Overview
We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as **Packaging Technicians** at our cannabis cultivation facility. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately packaging harvested cannabis flower into bulk pound bags while maintaining product quality, inventory accuracy, and compliance with all state regulations and company procedures. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Essential Responsibilities:
Packaging & Product Handling
  • Accurately package cannabis flower into bulk pound bags according to company specifications.
  • Verify product weights using calibrated scales to ensure accuracy.
  • Seal, label, and prepare packaged product for storage or transfer.
  • Handle cannabis flower carefully to preserve product quality and appearance.
  • Follow all packaging SOPs and quality standards.

Compliance & Documentation
  • Adhere to all state and local cannabis regulations related to packaging and handling.
  • Complete packaging records, inventory logs, and batch documentation accurately.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance within the state's seed-to-sale tracking system.
  • Report inventory discrepancies or packaging issues immediately.

Production & Efficiency
  • Meet daily packaging quotas while maintaining quality standards.
  • Maintain organized workflow to support cultivation and post-harvest operations.
  • Notify supervisors of product quality concerns, equipment issues, or production delays.

Teamwork & Communication
  • Work collaboratively with cultivation, harvest, and inventory teams.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding production goals and progress.
  • Contribute to a positive, organized, and team-focused work environment.

Workspace Maintenance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary packaging area.
  • Clean and sanitize workstations, tools, and equipment according to SOPs.
  • Follow all safety procedures while handling products and equipment.

Qualifications:
Required
  • Prior production, packaging, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills and ability to accurately weigh products.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred
  • Experience in cannabis cultivation, post-harvest, or packaging operations.
  • Familiarity with METRC or other seed-to-sale tracking systems.
  • Experience following SOP-driven production processes.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and move up to 60 pounds regularly throughout scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods while performing daily cultivation tasks.
  • Comfortable working in hot, humid grow environments with temperatures ranging from approximately 75–85°F and humidity levels between 60–70%.
  • Ability to work under high-intensity grow lighting for extended periods of time.
  • Must possess strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform detailed tasks such as trimming, transplanting, cloning, pruning, and plant maintenance.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive, detail-oriented work throughout the workday while maintaining consistency and quality standards.
  • Ability to operate cultivation tools, irrigation equipment, sprayers, trimming equipment, and other facility systems safely and effectively.
  • Comfortable working around cannabis plants, fertilizers, organic pesticides, soil, growing media, dust, and strong plant odors.
  • Ability to maintain focus, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced cultivation environment with strict compliance requirements.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented cultivation setting.
  • Ability to follow sanitation, safety, and compliance procedures precisely while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Comfortable moving throughout multiple grow rooms and cultivation areas during the course of a shift.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding plant health, equipment issues, and operational needs.
