Position Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for moving furniture, organizing and tracking school supplies, and discarding unwanted furniture and school supplies. This position is part-time, after school hours, to assist with projects and clean up at the school, as needed.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Maintenance and Support
   1. Maintains inventory supply accordingly.
   2. Demonstrates cultural sensitivity.
   3. Perform specific tasks requested by the Program Director.
   4. Ensures spaces are free from clutter/ tripping hazards, etc.
   5. Ensures furniture and supplies are discarded properly.
2. Communication
   1. Report issues related to the moving of furniture/supplies to the Program Director.
3. Risk Management and Safety
   1. When moving furniture, follow safety standards and safe lifting procedures.
4. Supervision
   1. Receive supervision.
      1. Receive supervision from and actively communicate with supervisor on an ongoing basis throughout the week by phone, email, written message and when possible, in person regarding program matters.

Qualifications

1. Education/Credentials/Licensure:
   1. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
   2. Requires a valid state driver’s license, safe driving record, and current auto insurance.
2. Experience:
   1. Requires general knowledge of housekeeping and light maintenance.
3. Clearances:
   1. State Police
   2. FBI
   3. Child Abuse Clearances
   4. CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training per state regulation.

Working Conditions

1. Physical Demands:
   1. Fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, legs and feet are all routinely used throughout the day. The lower and upper torso is used 75% of the day. Employee must meet minimum requirements for hearing, speech, and vision. Walking is required 75% of the day. Standing occurs 80% of the day. Sitting happens 25% of the day. Reaching above the shoulder as well as bending and twisting are performed 80% of the day. This function routinely lifts up to 50 pounds, multiple times per day. 2. Mental Demands:
   1. Occasionally handles distractions that interfere, performs multiple tasks, makes quick decisions, concentrates, and handles diversity of problems.
3. Environmental Factors:
   1. Environmental demands require this position in offices.
4. Working Hours:
   1. Hours dependent on program needs.
   2. Generally, 4 PM to 7 PM when students are not in attendance.
