Location: Saginaw, MI (On-Site)
Pay: $65,000+/year, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 5-day/10-hour schedule; overtime as workload requires
About The Role
MKR Fabrication is seeking a Quality Manager with hands-on fabrication and welding quality experience to lead quality activities in our heavy fabrication environment. You’ll oversee inspections, nonconformances, corrective actions, quality documentation, testing, supplier quality, and AS9100 audit readiness while working closely with Operations and Quality to support production.

What You’ll Do
- Prepare QA/QC reports covering inspections, material, nonconformances, and corrective actions.
- Verify material certifications, purchase order requirements, testing, and inspection documentation.
- Interpret blueprints and WPSs, write PQRs, and perform inspections using standard gauges.
- Investigate defects, coordinate corrective actions, and recommend process improvements.
- Support testing and inspection planning, vendor audits, scheduling, and project deadlines.
- Manage AS9100 audit preparation, quality KPIs, and quality/welding standards training.
- Quality experience in a fabrication or welding environment
- Strong math, technical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, WPSs, and quality control/testing standards.
- Experience using inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, height stands, and bore gauges.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five years of quality experience.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification or ability to obtain certification.
- AS9100 and GD&T experience.
- Experience with quality management software and/or ERP systems.
