Job Description
The Senior Salesforce Administrator serves as the primary architect, administrator, and developer for BS&A's Salesforce and integrated marketing technology ecosystem. This role demands exceptional business communication skills — the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear guidance for non-technical stakeholders and to work cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, IT, and Customer Success. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, HubSpot, and CPQ platforms, and is comfortable operating across the full spectrum from strategic solution design to day-to-day configuration and development.
Critical Platform RequirementsCandidates must have verifiable, production-level experience across all three platforms below. These are non-negotiable requirements.
Salesforce Sales Cloud
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on Sales Cloud administration and configuration in production environments.
- Proven ability to architect scalable solutions: objects, fields, page layouts, record types, flows, and approval processes.
- Strong command of the Salesforce security model: profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules, and field-level security.
- Experience with Salesforce Flows (record-triggered, scheduled, subflows, invocables) as the primary automation layer.
HubSpot
- Hands-on experience administering HubSpot in a B2B environment, including marketing automation, CRM, and pipeline management.
- Ability to design and maintain the HubSpot–Salesforce integration: field mappings, sync logic, and data validation.
- Experience building HubSpot workflows, lead scoring models, and campaign attribution frameworks.
CPQ Platform
- Minimum 2 years of dedicated, hands-on Salesforce CPQ administration in a production environment.
- Mastery of the full quote-to-cash lifecycle.
- Experience configuring complex pricing models: tiered pricing, discount schedules and contracted pricing.
- Ability to troubleshoot CPQ calculation errors, price waterfall issues, and integration handoffs without escalation.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification — Required.
- Salesforce CPQ Specialist Certification — Preferred.
- Salesforce Platform Administrator II and/or Platform App Builder — Preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years as a Salesforce Administrator, Architect, or Consultant supporting multi-cloud environments for a SaaS company.
- Demonstrated ability to function as architect, administrator, and developer — from solution design through hands-on build.
- Strong data stewardship skills: validations, deduplication, imports/exports, and reconciliations.
- Familiarity with adjacent integrations (Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, SharePoint, JIRA, Slack).
(This is not an all-inclusive list; employees may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.)
- Architect, configure, and maintain Salesforce Sales Cloud, CPQ, and integrated platforms; manage objects, fields, page layouts, record types, and automation to enable the business.
- Administer users, profiles, permission sets, roles, and sharing rules; uphold least-privilege security standards.
- Design, build, test, and deploy Salesforce Flows and approval processes to streamline business operations.
- Maintain the HubSpot–Salesforce integration, including field mappings, sync logic, lead routing, and campaign attribution.
- Administer CPQ configuration: product catalog, pricing rules, discount schedules, quote templates, and the quote-to-order lifecycle.
- Serve as the primary technical communicator between business stakeholders and the development/integration team — translating requirements into clean, maintainable solutions and presenting trade-offs clearly.
- Evaluate Salesforce requirements and recommend whether to configure natively, use Flows, or leverage code-level development.
- Maintain data integrity through validation rules, duplicate management, imports/exports, and regular audits.
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards for Sales, Finance, and Operations; support downstream analytics handoffs.
- Triage and resolve feature requests and incidents; document SOPs, runbooks, and user guides; deliver targeted end-user training.
- Maintain sandbox environments; plan and execute releases and sandbox refreshes per change-control governance.
- Business Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences, facilitate requirements sessions, and present solution trade-offs to leadership.
- Solution Architecture: Designs scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions; makes pragmatic config-vs.-code recommendations; aligns platform design to business process.
- Salesforce Administration & Automation: Expert with Flows (record-triggered, scheduled, subflows, invocables) and approvals; confident configuring objects, fields, page layouts, and record types across Sales Cloud and CPQ.
- HubSpot Administration: Manages HubSpot workflows, pipelines, lead scoring, and the Salesforce sync; ensures data quality across the marketing-to-sales handoff.
- CPQ Administration: Configures and maintains product catalog, pricing models, discount schedules, and quote templates; owns the quote-to-order lifecycle.
- Security & Access Management: Deep command of profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules, and field-level security; enforces least-privilege and auditability.
- Data Quality & Reporting: Owns validations, deduplication, and imports/exports; builds stakeholder-ready reports and dashboards; supports BI handoffs.
