Job Description
Description:
Quality Lab Technician
Chemline is looking for a Quality Lab Technician I to join our Quality Control team. In this role, you'll perform routine testing on incoming raw materials, production batches, and finished products — making sure everything meets Chemline's standards and our customers' specs. You'll work closely with Quality and Production, and build the technical skills and lab experience to grow within our Quality organization.
What You'll Do
- Perform analytical and physical testing on raw materials, batches, retains, and finished products using established lab methods
- Document test results accurately on batch tickets and other quality records, and flag anything outside spec
- Support investigations into out-of-spec (OOS) results, including retesting and verifying corrected batches
- Assist with testing returned materials and customer complaint investigations
- Build an understanding of how raw materials, formulations, and processing conditions affect finished product quality
- Contribute to continuous improvement — lab trials, process tweaks, and better testing practices
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow Chemline's Quality Management System and safety procedures
- Communicate results and quality concerns clearly to Quality, Production, and other teams
- Keep the lab organized and help maintain equipment and supplies
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Chemistry, Laboratory Science, or related field is a plus
- 6–12 months of lab, quality, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to learn and consistently perform established test methods, and interpret specs and results
- Comfortable operating lab equipment — balances, viscometers, convection ovens, water baths, titration equipment
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and a continuous improvement mindset
- Dependable, accountable, and able to work well independently and on a team
Why Chemline
This is a great entry point for someone who wants hands-on lab experience and a real path forward in Quality — you'll develop troubleshooting skills, technical knowledge, and cross-functional relationships while working on products that matter to our customers.
