We are currently recruiting for a/an Senior Project Finance Analyst to join our team and contribute to key projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Modelling and Valuation

  • Build, maintain and audit financial models for projects in development, construction and operation across PV, BESS and wind, from project-level to SPV and portfolio level.
  • Model technology-specific revenue and cost drivers: merchant and PPA prices, capture-price and curtailment assumptions for PV and wind; capacity-market, MACSE and arbitrage/ancillary revenues, degradation and augmentation for BESS.
  • Run sensitivity and scenario analyses (energy prices, production, capex, opex, financing terms) and produce investment papers and IRR/NPV/payback analysis for management and the Investment Committee.
  • Maintain budgets, business plans and long-term forecasts for Italian assets in coordination with the Asset Manager.

M&A and Transaction Execution

  • Support the acquisition of authorised development projects and SPVs: valuation, bid preparation, purchase price mechanics, adjustments and earn-outs.
  • Coordinate financial due diligence with advisors and review key findings, including permits, grid connection, land and contractual risk with a financial impact.
  • Support negotiation of SPA and related agreements from a financial standpoint, together with Legal.
  • Manage the closing and post-closing financial workstreams, and the integration of acquired SPVs into Group models and reporting.

Project Financing and Banking Relationships

  • Structure and execute project-finance, construction and refinancing transactions for PV, BESS and wind assets.
  • Prepare financing materials and lender models; manage the bank selection process, term-sheet comparison and negotiation of key financial terms (margin, gearing, tenor, DSCR, reserve accounts, hedging, guarantees).
  • Manage relationships with Italian and international banks, institutional lenders and financial advisors, and coordinate lenders' technical, legal and model auditors.
  • Support drawdown, conditions-precedent and covenant calculations during construction and operation, in coordination with Group Finance.

Market Intelligence and Support to Group

  • Monitor Italian market, regulatory and financing trends (energy prices, auction and capacity schemes, tax and incentive rules, bank appetite and pricing) and translate them into model assumptions.
  • Provide financial inputs to Group Finance for consolidation, audit and tax needs; treasury, accounting and statutory filings remain with the Spanish team.

Education & Certifications
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Engineering (Management); a Master's degree or professional qualification (e.g. CFA, ACCA) is an advantage.
Experience & Technical Skills
  • 5-7 years of experience in project finance, corporate finance, M&A, investment banking, transaction advisory or similar, preferably in renewable energy or infrastructure.
  • Track record in financial modelling and in the execution of acquisitions and/or financings of renewable assets.
  • Advanced financial modelling skills in Excel, including project-finance models (debt sizing, DSCR, waterfall, tax and VAT).
  • Sound knowledge of the Italian banking system and of current financing conditions for PV, BESS and wind: lender types, market margins, gearing and tenors, security packages, hedging and typical covenants.
  • Understanding of the revenue models, risks and financeability of each technology (PV, BESS, wind), including merchant, PPA and capacity-based revenues.
  • Knowledge of the Italian regulatory and market framework (GSE, Terna, ARERA, incentive and capacity schemes); familiarity with Italian tax rules applicable to SPVs.
  • Fluent Italian and professional-level English (written and spoken).
Key Competencies
  • Analytical and rigorous, with attention to detail and strong ownership of deliverables.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with banks, sellers, advisors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to run several transactions in parallel under tight deadlines, in a cross-functional and international environment.

We offer

  • Permanent employment contract;
  • Gross annual salary: €50,000–€75,000, depending on experience.
