The Aerospace Electrician IV is a senior subject-matter expert responsible for leading complex aerospace electrical installations, system integration, validation, and technical oversight. This role serves as a technical authority, interfaces directly with Quality and customers, and ensures compliance with engineering specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards.
This position leads major efforts, drives process improvement, and mentors electricians across all levels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Serve as technical authority for electrical installation, integration, and validation
- Lead major wiring harness installations and system-level integration efforts
- Review and validate technical documentation and installation packages
- Lead advanced testing, fault isolation, and root cause analysis
- Interface directly with QA, Engineering, and customer representatives
- Drive compliance with FOD, safety, and quality standards
- Lead and mentor electricians across all levels
- Contribute to training development and process improvements
- Support audits, inspections, and customer acceptance activities
- Communicate technical direction, risks, and solutions clearly
- Exercise stop-work authority when required
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of relevant aerospace or technical experience
- Expert-level ability to interpret complex schematics and specifications
- Demonstrated leadership and technical authority
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical capability
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to obtain required clearances
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Aerospace or defense program experience
- Military or shipyard experience
- Advanced technical certifications or training
- Familiarity with aerospace quality systems and FOD programs
CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING
- Advanced Electrical OJT or equivalent experience
- OSHA-10 Maritime (preferred)
- Advanced safety certifications (First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Space)
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work in hangars, shipyards, and integration environments
- Lift up to 40 lbs (heavier with assistance)
- Work at heights and confined spaces
- Use required PPE and safety equipment
This is temporary, short-term employment with the expectation that when the project is complete within 6 +/- months. This is a benefit eligible role with a full comprehensive benefit package available.
