The Senior Product Manager will own the vision and execution strategy for customer-generated data capabilities, helping build shared platform solutions that support multiple product experiences. This role requires strong product leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate across a complex organization to deliver impactful customer-focused solutions.
- Define and execute the long-term product strategy for collecting, structuring, and activating customer-generated data as a foundational platform capability.
- Lead customer discovery efforts to understand contribution behaviors, user needs, and opportunities for creating high-impact experiences.
- Translate insights into clear product roadmaps, priorities, success metrics, and measurable outcomes.
- Own shared platform capabilities that enable multiple product teams to build scalable customer-facing experiences.
- Balance short-term business needs with long-term platform scalability and reusable solutions.
- Partner closely with engineering, design, product, and business teams to define requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Champion platform adoption across teams by communicating product vision, decisions, and trade-offs clearly.
- Lead cross-functional squads through discovery, product definition, delivery, measurement, and iteration.
- Establish processes for improving data quality, customer trust, responsible data use, and platform effectiveness.
- Develop feedback loops using customer insights, product metrics, and stakeholder input to guide continuous improvement.
- Apply AI tools throughout the product lifecycle to accelerate research, analysis, prioritization, and communication while maintaining strong product judgment.
The ideal candidate is an experienced product leader with a strong background in platform development, customer data products, and cross-functional execution. They should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, creating strategy, and delivering scalable solutions that support both users and internal teams.
- 8+ years of experience leading software products or platforms, including at least 4 years in product management.
- Demonstrated experience building platform capabilities, APIs, SDKs, shared services, or products used by multiple teams.
- Proven ability to lead 0-to-1 product initiatives, from discovery and strategy through execution and iteration.
- Experience developing product strategies, roadmaps, prioritization frameworks, and scalable solutions.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence engineering, design, and business stakeholders without direct authority.
- Experience using customer insights, analytics, and product metrics to guide decisions and measure success.
- Ability to balance customer value, technical complexity, quality, privacy, and trust considerations.
- Hands-on product management approach with the ability to move between strategic planning and operational execution.
- Experience using AI tools to improve product discovery, analysis, decision-making, and execution.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with customer-generated content, community-driven data, mapping, navigation, or location-based products is a plus.
- Knowledge of trust and safety, content moderation, reputation systems, or data governance frameworks is preferred.
- Passion for outdoor recreation and curiosity about how people explore and experience the world is valued.
- Permanent authorization to work in the United States is required.
- Ability to travel quarterly for several days to company offices or strategic locations.
- Competitive salary range of approximately $143,000–$179,000 depending on experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors.
