About the Role

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to support the daily operations of our cannabis processing facility. This role is responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing outbound shipments, maintaining organized inventory, and ensuring all products and supplies are accurately tracked throughout the warehouse.

The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy, compliance, and teamwork are essential.

Essential Responsibilities

Shipping Operations

Prepare and stage outgoing shipments for distribution to retail locations and internal facilities.

Verify product quantities, labels, and shipping documentation prior to shipment.

Package finished goods according to company standards and compliance requirements.

Coordinate outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and accurate order fulfillment.

Maintain shipping logs and related documentation.

Receiving Operations

Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, packaging supplies, and production inventory.

Inspect deliveries for accuracy, quality, and damage.

Verify packing slips and purchase orders against received inventory.

Organize and store incoming materials in designated warehouse locations.

Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to management promptly.

Inventory Control

Maintain accurate inventory counts and warehouse organization.

Perform routine cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.

Assist with inventory transfers between departments and facilities.

Ensure products are properly labeled, stored, and easily accessible.

Support inventory reconciliation and documentation.

Compliance & Documentation

Follow all company SOPs related to shipping, receiving, storage, and inventory handling.

Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.

Ensure products are handled and stored according to company quality and compliance standards.

Assist with compliance documentation and inventory reporting as needed.

Warehouse Operations

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.

Stage materials for production and packaging departments.

Support general warehouse operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Collaboration

Work closely with production, packaging, inventory, and operations teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Communicate shipping delays, inventory shortages, or operational concerns to supervisors.

Assist other departments as business needs require.

Qualifications

Required

Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory control.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to accurately complete documentation and inventory records.

Comfortable using computers for data entry and inventory tracking.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Preferred

Experience in manufacturing, food production, warehouse distribution, or regulated industries.

Experience with inventory management or ERP software.

Forklift certification or experience is a plus.

Cannabis industry experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to bend, kneel, squat, reach, and lift throughout the workday.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.

Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and production environments.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
