Job Summary:
Maintains a clean, and welcoming environment for all guests and staff. This position is responsible for ensuring that all areas are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, which directly impacts on the overall guest and staff experience.
Housekeeper I (Level 1)
Position Summary
Performs daily cleaning tasks in all SVdP locations, including but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces while adhering to safety protocols.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Restock housekeeping supplies.
- Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with priority areas and schedules assigned by supervisor.
- Provide courteous and professional service to guests and staff, addressing basic concerns within scope and escalating issues as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures while providing excellent customer service to guests.
- Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork and collaboration.
- Perform other duties assigned by Facilities Manager in accordance with the chain of command.
Qualifications
- 6 + months experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role.
- Ability to work legally in the US.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work holidays and weekends with advanced notice.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and cleaning products.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines.
- Ability to communicate in English or Spanish
- Experience following oral and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to learn health and safety regulations.
- Able to complete bloodborne pathogen training within first week of employment.
- Able to complete Hazardous Communication training within first week of employment.
- Able to complete ergonomics and safe lifting training within first week of employment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong manual dexterity and physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and repetitive motions for up to 8 hours.
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand, walk, sit, and bend ability to lift to 40 lbs.
Housekeeper II (Level 2)
Position Summary
Performs daily cleaning and sanitation tasks in all SVdP locations and assists in monitoring cleaning quality by ensuring housekeeping standards are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports and guides Housekeeper (I) staff by modeling proper cleaning techniques and safe work practices.
- Restock housekeeping supplies and monitor inventory levels.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements. Guides junior staff on where to go and who to ask if there are questions.
- Able to guideandsupporthousekeeperIstaff.
- Able to operate and maintain thefloormachine in good working condition.
Qualifications
- 18+ months of experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role required.
- 12+ months of experience driving the floor machine.
- 12+ months of demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- 12+ months of demonstrated experience following safety guidelines without any incidents.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, safety guidelines, and cleaning protocols.
- 12+months of experience assisting or guiding coworkers
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Bloodborne Pathogen trained
- Hazardous Communication Trained
- Ergonomics & Safe Lifting Training
Housekeeper III (Team Lead - Level 3)
Position Summary
Perform daily cleaning and sanitation tasks in all SVdP locations and lead the housekeeping team by monitoring cleaning quality and ensuring housekeeping standards are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identifies and fixes most maintenance issues. Reports safety hazards and maintenance issues that cannot be fixed by them.
- Leads Housekeeper (I and II) staff by showing proper cleaning techniques and safe work practices.
- Assist with restocking supplies and monitoring inventory levels to ensure adequate availability.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding cleaning schedules, special requests, and priority areas.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements. Leads housekeeping staff to be compliant.
- Ability to lead teams when housekeeping leadership is not available; essentially this position is fourth in the chain of command in the housekeeping team.
- Identifications and reports training gaps of housekeeping staff. Recommends staff for recognition/discipline.
- Aid Housekeeping supervisor on conducting regular inspections and spot checks to identify and address cleaning and maintenance issues.
Qualifications
- 30+ months of experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role required.
- 24+ months of experience driving the floor machine.
- 24+ months of demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of proper use of cleaning products, equipment, and floor-care techniques.
- 24+ months of demonstrated experience following safety guidelines without any incidents.
- Ability to understand English to ensure clear communication and comprehension of instructions.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, safety guidelines, and cleaning protocols in English
- Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
