Production Supervisor Overnight in East Brunswick, New Jersey at Jimmy's Gourmet Bakery

Jimmy's Gourmet Bakery is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor for our overnight shift (11 PM- 7 AM) to lead our manufacturing team in a fast-paced food production environment. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring employee safety, maintaining quality standards, meeting production goals, and developing production staff.

• Supervise production employees to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.
• Monitor production schedules, line performance, and productivity.
• Ensure employees follow all food safety, GMP, quality, and safety procedures.
• Train, coach, and develop new and existing employees.
• Monitor attendance, performance, and employee accountability.
• Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other departments to minimize downtime.
• Ensure production targets are met while maintaining product quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Complete production reports and communicate shift updates during handoffs.
• Promote teamwork and continuous improvement throughout the department.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred).
• Experience managing production lines and large hourly teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Knowledge of food safety, GMPs, HACCP, and OSHA regulations is preferred.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Comfortable working around moving machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and moderate to loud noise levels
