Position Summary
Winchester Cardiology and Vascular Medicine is seeking a Board-Certified or Board eligible Electrophysiologist to join our growing and highly collaborative practice. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in our outpatient cardiac clinic and provide inpatient cardiology services at Winchester Medical Center, a regional referral hospital directly connected to our practice.
This position will join our established Electrophysiology department which is equipped with a leading-edge, newly renovated EP lab. Winchester Cardiology’s EP department provides a full range of ablations and device implantations, with over 4000 active device therapy patients managed by our specialized team of Advanced Practice Clinicians and Device Technicians.
In 2025, our team performed 954 atrial fibrillation ablations, showcasing our procedural volume and expertise in complex arrhythmia management. We have been performing pulsed field ablation routinely since June 2024 for atrial fibrillation, and we are proud to be included in the Manifest-US Database. Our updated EP labs are equipped with major mapping systems, including OPAL RHYTHMIA, CARTO, EnSite, and Affera – ensuring advanced capabilities for both RF and pulsed field workflows.
The position is a shareholder-track opportunity working in our outpatient cardiac clinic and at Winchester Medical Center, located in Winchester, Virginia.
Qualifications
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Cardiology (ABIM)
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Virginia and West Virginia
- DEA registration with full prescriptive authority
- Fellowship experience in Electrophysiology
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of complex ablation referrals
- Proficient in performing VT ablations, with preferred experience in epicardial access
- Experience with Left atrial appendage (LAA) closure procedures, subcutaneous IDCs, leadless pacemakers, and lead extractions preferred although not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Compensation & Benefits
- 2-year associate position with path to partnership beginning in Year 3
- Base compensation: $543,000 - $677,000
