As a GCP Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting data engineering solutions that improve platform performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to build scalable data capabilities and drive continuous improvement.
- Design, develop, and maintain data engineering solutions using cloud-based technologies and modern data platforms.
- Build and optimize data pipelines, processing workflows, and data models to support analytics and operational needs.
- Leverage DevOps principles to evaluate, implement, and improve data infrastructure solutions.
- Develop and maintain real-time data processing solutions using streaming technologies.
- Support database environments, including performance optimization, troubleshooting, and reliability improvements.
- Work with cloud services to enhance automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams and strategic partners to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve data engineering workflows.

The ideal candidate is an experienced data engineer with strong cloud expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to build scalable data solutions. You should be comfortable working independently, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and adapting quickly to evolving technologies.
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP); AWS experience is also valuable.
- Strong experience with data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, data processing, and data management.
- Hands-on experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Dataflow, and Dataproc.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, and MongoDB.
- Expertise with real-time data processing technologies, including Apache Flink and Apache Kafka.
- Experience with Python-based data processing frameworks and PySpark.
- Familiarity with modern big data storage technologies such as Iceberg, Hudi, or Delta.
- Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Knowledge of query optimization, resource management, and data lake performance improvements.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively within distributed teams.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
