Make Ready in Clute, Texas at HK Property Management California Inc

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Make-Ready Technician to join our maintenance team at a 250-unit apartment community. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, and capable of preparing vacant apartments for new residents while assisting with general property maintenance.

Responsibilities
Complete apartment make-readies and prepare vacant units for move-in
Interior painting and touch-ups
Drywall patching and minor repairs
Replace fixtures, blinds, hardware, and other apartment components
Perform basic plumbing repairs
Perform basic electrical repairs
Assist with appliance repairs and replacement
Complete work orders as needed
Inspect units and identify items requiring repair
Maintain clean and safe work areas
Assist the maintenance team with property projects and emergencies
Participate in the property's on-call rotation
Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies when scheduled
Qualifications
Previous apartment maintenance or make-ready experience preferred
Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and general repairs
Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
Reliable transportation
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation
Ability to perform physical maintenance work, including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working indoors and outdoors
