Senior Vice President, Client Partnership

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Vice President, Client Partnership based in the United States.

This is a senior leadership opportunity focused on building and expanding high-value client relationships across a complex portfolio.
You will act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior client stakeholders while ensuring exceptional delivery and relationship health.
The role combines commercial leadership, operational rigor, team development, and a strong understanding of digital and creative work.
You will oversee substantial client engagements, protect portfolio profitability, and identify opportunities for long-term growth.
Working across multidisciplinary teams, you will translate client objectives into effective engagement strategies and actionable plans.
You will also lead and develop a team of account professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, curiosity, and collaboration.
This remote U.S.-based position is designed for an experienced executive who thrives at the intersection of client partnership, business growth, and digital innovation.

Accountabilities:
  • Serve as a senior strategic partner and trusted advisor to multiple clients, strengthening executive relationships and ensuring long-term relationship health.
  • Lead the overall strategy and operational management of a significant client portfolio, balancing client satisfaction, delivery quality, growth, and financial performance.
  • Oversee client engagements valued at $10M+ and maintain strong control over scope, efficiency, staffing, budgets, and profitability.
  • Lead and develop large, multidisciplinary teams, creating clarity, accountability, and an environment that encourages curiosity and high-quality work.
  • Identify emerging client needs and translate them into strategic opportunities, ensuring proposed approaches address both current objectives and future business priorities.
  • Drive account growth by expanding executive relationships, identifying new opportunities, and developing long-term partnerships.
  • Lead strategic new-business efforts, including RFP responses, pitches, commercial negotiations, MSAs, and contract discussions through to close.
  • Partner with department leaders, discipline heads, and project teams to establish engagement strategies, priorities, delivery plans, and performance targets.
  • Manage client expectations proactively, gather feedback, and ensure consistently high standards of service and work quality.
  • Work closely with account and delivery teams to accurately forecast work, plan resources, prioritize deliverables, and maintain efficient execution.
  • Represent client needs internally while championing the teams responsible for delivering innovative digital products, experiences, and creative work.
  • Mentor, encourage, and develop team members while contributing to a diverse and collaborative leadership culture.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of professional experience, ideally within a digital agency, consultancy, technology services organization, or comparable environment managing complex enterprise engagements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing $10M+ client portfolios while maintaining strong quality, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
  • Significant experience leading large, cross-disciplinary teams of 20+ people and successfully managing through other leaders.
  • Proven track record in account management, strategic client partnership, business development, account growth, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Strong experience developing engagement strategies and coordinating with department heads, discipline leaders, and project teams to execute against client and business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior client executives, expand stakeholder networks, and generate new opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Strong commercial and financial management capabilities, including portfolio profitability, statements of work, budgeting, forecasting, and contract negotiations.
  • Ability to uncover needs that clients may not yet recognize and connect solutions to their broader strategic objectives and future requirements.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create thoughtful, persuasive business documents and presentations.
  • Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance client priorities, business considerations, team needs, and delivery realities.
  • Passion for digital products, creative work, technology, and creating compelling user and brand experiences.
  • A collaborative leadership style and genuine enthusiasm for mentoring, supporting, and learning from diverse and talented teams.
  • Must be available to work remotely within the United States; this role is currently unavailable for candidates based in New Mexico or Hawaii.

  • Competitive annual base salary range of $215,000–$255,000 USD.
