Job Description

Description:

Location: Lawrenceville, GA

The Atlanta Fibroid Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist (RT) specialized in Interventional Radiology (IR). In this role, you will operate advanced imaging equipment to assist our physicians during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures, primarily Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE).

Because our clinic focuses on specialized women's pelvic health treatments, we are ideally looking for a team member who can help our patients feel safe, respected, and comfortable throughout their care journey.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Procedure Assistance: Prepare the IR suite, scrub in, and assist the physician during specialized image-guided procedures (such as UFE).
  • Imaging Operations: Operate fluoroscopy, X-ray, and digital angiography equipment safely, ensuring high-quality imaging and strict radiation safety protocols.
  • Patient Care: Prepare patients for procedures, position them comfortably, and explain the imaging process to alleviate anxiety.
  • Sterile Environment Management: Maintain a strict sterile field in the procedure room; manage and prepare specialized IR supplies (catheters, guide wires, embolic agents).
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate patient logs, imaging records, and equipment quality control checks.

Benefits

  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance packages.
  • Retirement Planning: 401(k) retirement plan with company matching.
  • Time Off: Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) package and paid federal holidays.
Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Certifications: Active certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R). Vascular Interventional (VI) radiography certification is highly preferred.
  • Licensure: Valid state radiology license/registration.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working in an Interventional Radiology (IR) suite, cardiac cath lab, or surgical imaging environment.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, radiation safety regulations, and specialized IR equipment.
  • Attributes: Excellent communication skills and a empathetic, patient-first approach to specialized women's healthcare.
