Observability Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Observability Architect based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to become a strategic technical partner for organizations adopting modern observability practices at scale.
You will design and guide complex observability architectures, helping customers improve reliability, performance, and operational maturity.
The position combines deep technical expertise, customer engagement, and architectural leadership within a remote-first environment.
You will collaborate with engineering teams, SREs, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes.

You will influence customer success while contributing feedback that helps shape future product capabilities and innovations.

Accountabilities:

The Observability Architect will serve as a trusted technical advisor for a portfolio of customers, helping them maximize the value of observability solutions through architecture guidance, enablement, and continuous improvement.

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned customers, building strong relationships with engineering, SRE, and architecture stakeholders.
  • Design customer observability strategies and maturity roadmaps aligned with business goals and technical requirements.
  • Guide customers through implementation, adoption, optimization, and expansion of observability capabilities.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting, technical recommendations, and support during complex operational challenges.
  • Conduct technical reviews, health checks, and architecture assessments to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Advise customers on best practices for leveraging observability technologies to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with customer teams to develop technical roadmaps and adoption strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize platform usage, reduce costs, and increase customer value.
  • Support root cause analysis activities and help resolve issues impacting customer experience.
  • Deliver technical workshops, training sessions, documentation, guides, and enablement materials.
  • Partner with internal teams to represent customer needs, priorities, and feedback.
  • Participate in customer reviews to evaluate outcomes, demonstrate ROI, and identify future opportunities.
  • Prepare reports and insights on customer progress, adoption metrics, and areas of focus.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical architecture experience, customer-facing skills, and a passion for helping organizations improve their technology operations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical support, technical account management, consulting, solutions engineering, or professional services within the technology industry.
  • Strong experience designing, deploying, and operating Kubernetes-based environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of observability concepts, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience working with technologies such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, or similar monitoring and observability platforms is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple customers, projects, and technical priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, training materials, and customer enablement resources.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for customer engagements, up to 25%.
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with a passion for solving technical challenges.
  • Preferred experience in post-sales technical roles, technical sales, customer success, or open-source technology environments.
