The Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and improving large-scale software systems. This position requires strong technical expertise, architectural thinking, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver reliable and maintainable solutions.
- Lead the design and development of scalable software applications while maintaining high engineering quality standards.
- Build and enhance platform capabilities that support large-scale endpoint management and cloud-based operations.
- Influence software architecture decisions by balancing scalability, maintainability, performance, technical debt, and business priorities.
- Design and implement robust backend services using Java and related technologies.
- Develop and improve APIs, distributed systems, and client-server architectures.
- Solve complex engineering challenges related to scalability, reliability, and system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to align technical decisions and deliver impactful solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers by sharing best practices, providing technical guidance, and helping establish engineering standards.
- Take ownership of technical initiatives, identify improvement opportunities, and drive projects from concept through delivery.
- Partner with support and operational teams to address product challenges and improve system reliability.
- Advocate for quality-focused development practices, testing strategies, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to additional engineering initiatives that support team and product success.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience building enterprise-level software applications, strong Java expertise, and a proven ability to design and scale complex systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of experience in Java software development, particularly within product-focused environments.
- 5+ years of experience designing and supporting highly scalable systems.
- Proven ability to solve complex system design challenges and improve application performance.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
- Advanced experience designing APIs and RESTful services using frameworks such as Spring or Jersey.
- Strong knowledge of relational database design and development.
- Experience working with distributed systems, asynchronous application design, and large-scale architectures.
- Familiarity with caching technologies such as Redis is a plus.
- Strong understanding of software quality practices, testing methodologies, and reliable delivery processes.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical direction is preferred.
- Competitive base salary range of $150,000–$200,000 per year depending on location, experience, skills, and qualifications.
