Job Description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to work as a Part Time (20 hrs/wk) Psychiatric Services Program Supervisor!

What You Will Be Doing
Working as a Psychiatric Services Program Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising the team that provides case management services to adults receiving psychiatric services. You will review the case record documentation of clinicians, conduct case consults and ensure all standards of treatment are meeting the level of care indicated. In this position, you may assist with client assessment of mental health and/or substance use treatment needs, diagnosing and documenting in client case records accordingly. You will also attend meetings within the agency and with other stakeholders to ensure quality of care. This is a part time (20 hrs/wk) position which occurs in office Monday through Friday during business hours.

What We Require
You will have a Master's degree in Social Work or Psychology and a minimum of five years’ experience working with adults with substance abuse disorders, severe mental illnesses and/or co-occurring disorders. Two years administrative and supervisory experience in a mental health setting is preferred. You will need a valid Michigan Motor Vehicle Operator's license and Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Limited License Psychologist (LLP) is required. Those with a limited license will be considered and are encouraged to apply. A Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) is preferred.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations, including, but not limited to, visual and/or audiological appliances and devices to increase mobility.

Physical Efforts – Job demands include prolonged sitting and standing. Requires light lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending. Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot and ability to hear and communicate verbally.

Working Conditions – In office environment with noise from computers, copy machine, and telephones. Use of computer for periods in excess of 30 minutes at a time. May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites. May encounter community environments that include homes, schools, courts, and other community settings that may or may not be barrier-free. Travel throughout the Kalamazoo area may be required.
