Workers Compensation Claims Specialist in The Woodlands, Texas at Sterling Construction Company, Inc.

What You’ll Do

As our Claims Specialist, you’ll help manage the day-to-day claims process for designated Sterling business units, including:

• • Manage Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Auto, Equipment, and Property Damage claims reporting though resolution
  • Partner with employees, business units, insurance carriers, and third-party providers throughout the claims process
  • Review Claims documentation, medical bills, payroll records, payments and reserves for accuracy
  • Participate in carrier and internal claim reviews and help identify next steps on open claims
  • Monitor Workers’ Compensation claims, including medical treatment, investigations, rehabilitation and return-to-work efforts
  • Help employees understand Workers’ Compensation benefits and requirements across multiple states

What We’re Looking For

• • 1–3 years of experience handling or adjusting Workers’ Compensation claims, including multi-state claims
  • 1–3 years of experience with General Liability and Automobile claims, including claims processing, reporting, investigation, and reserves
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple claims and priorities at once
  • Comfortable communicating with employees, business leaders, insurance carriers, and third parties
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • 2+ years of college preferred
  • Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus
