Job Description
We're looking for a dynamic Payroll Specialist / Timekeeper to join our team in Austin!
Core Responsibilities
- Fulltime, Internal Position: Payroll Specialist
- Location: Austin, TX
- Salary: $55,000-63,000/yr
- Hours: Mon-Fri, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Core Responsibilities
- Review and verify clock-in and clock-out records for 200-300 employees on a daily basis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve any discrepancies or errors with employee timecards.
- Communicate directly with employees to clarify time entries, gather missing information, and facilitate timely corrections.
- Track daily contractor attendance and report headcount to supervisors multiple times a day.
- Analyze attendance trends and provide coaching to employees as needed/applicable.
- 1–2 years of experience in timekeeping, payroll, HR administration, or a similar field.
- Previous experience within the construction or staffing industry strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and handling high-volume employee data.
- Proficient in Excel, especially with formulas and pivot tables.
- Timerack and Avionte experience a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet strict payroll deadlines.
- Must be comfortable being employee facing and sitting at a computer for prolonged periods of time.
