As a Bilingual Reimbursement Specialist, you will coordinate patient support activities and reimbursement processes to help maximize access to prescribed treatments. You will work closely with healthcare providers, insurance organizations, and internal teams to ensure accurate documentation, timely submissions, and effective solutions for patient coverage needs.
- Coordinate and manage all activities required to obtain prescription drug coverage and reimbursement solutions for patients.
- Collaborate with insurance companies, physician offices, pharmacies, and healthcare professionals to support successful reimbursement outcomes.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on documentation required for private insurance plans, public funding programs, and other healthcare assistance programs.
- Conduct financial assessments when required to identify opportunities for improving patient coverage options.
- Coordinate pharmacy-related processes once reimbursement approval has been obtained.
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of public, private, and government healthcare funding mechanisms.
- Provide accurate information and guidance to patients and healthcare partners throughout reimbursement processes.
- Report adverse events according to established procedures and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, manage administrative tasks, and complete additional responsibilities as required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance patient service operations.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and empathetic professional with experience in healthcare support, customer operations, reimbursement services, or related fields. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities while communicating effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and external partners in both French and English.
- Postsecondary education or equivalent experience in a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in reimbursement support, patient services, healthcare operations, customer service, claims support, case coordination, or a related field.
- Experience working in healthcare, pharmaceutical, insurance, or patient assistance environments is considered an asset.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing documentation and administrative processes.
- Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and identify effective solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Solid business and financial understanding with strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
- Experience with reimbursement systems, patient access programs, or process improvement initiatives is an asset.
- Competitive salary range of approximately $39,552 CAD to $66,847 CAD, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
