Job Description:

Administrative Functions

  • Independently create and schedule patient appointments within the electronic medical record for a complex, multi-provider medical practice
  • Gather and enter accurate patient demographics to assess the nature of the request and determine appropriate appointment availability
  • Apply Foothills Neurology scheduling criteria and clinical requirements to ensure proper appointment type and provider selection
  • Advise patients on co-payments, referral/authorization requirements, and any preparation needed for their visit or procedure
  • Collect and verify all guarantor and insurance information to help assess patient eligibility
  • Communicate effectively with patients, referring physicians, allied health staff, customers, and family members
  • Navigate multiple systems simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and speed
  • Manage high-volume patient interaction, remaining available or on calls/messages 90% of the workday
  • Handle telephone calls, voicemails, and electronic messaging systems efficiently and professionally
  • Learn and follow multiple complex scheduling workflows
  • Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in all patient-related documentation and electronic communication
  • Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring patients feel supported, informed, and prepared
  • Prioritize timely service and complete resolution of patient questions and scheduling needs
  • And any other duties as assigned by company management to which employee is qualified which will not detract from primary responsibilities.

Required Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum 6 months related experience preferred
