BASIC FUNCTION :
Reporting directly to the Store Director is responsible for Floral department operations and assigned personnel. Provides day-to-day coordination/direction over Floral Associates. Effectively and efficiently manages Floral operations to achieve established sales, payroll, merchandising and profit goals. Promotes and maintains positive customer and employee relations.
POSITION SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS :
1. Have sound working knowledge of Floral Operations, practices and procedures within a retail grocery environment desired.
2. Effectively and efficiently provide direction, coordination, day-to-day follow-up, training and development and performance evaluation of department personnel.
3. Basic knowledge of plants and fresh cut care of plants as well as creative design concepts.
4. Be self-directed, results oriented, project a positive business image and lead by example.
5. Poses excellent administrative teams building, mentoring, organization, coordination, and attention to detail and follow through skills.
6. Provide excellent customer relations, communications and problem solving skills.
7. Work with floral products and supplies. (Not be allergic to products, supplies or have problems with smells, chemicals, etc.)
8. Operate department equipment in a safe and efficient manner, including computers.
9. Able to work in physical environment with continuous exposure to cooler and water.
10. As a member of our management team, understand that with our having multiple store locations, you could be expected to assist such locations, when warranted and/or be “open to transfer opportunities” to such locations if such need/opportunities arose.
