WABE Studios Producer (Full-time - temporary) The Producer at WABE is responsible for managing the production of long-form content and digital from concept to distribution. This role involves researching and writing stories, booking locations, and managing talent. The Producer ensures that all content aligns with the project’s creative vision and meets WABE’s production standards. While this will be a full-time position, it is funded through June 30, 2027 and may conclude on this date. The position may also be extended beyond this date if funding is secured.Accountabilities:
- Manage the production of digital and/or long-form content, ensuring it aligns with the project’s creative vision and production goals. Research stories, find locations, and cast talent, ensuring all production elements are in place. Manage the research, acquisition, and clearance of archival footage, props, and production assets, ensuring all necessary rights and releases are secured. Oversee the creation of beat sheets, hot sheets, and other storytelling tools, ensuring they support the overall narrative. Collaborate with the Line Producer to develop production timelines, secure locations and permits, and coordinate required production releases. Lead on-set production efforts by collaborating with the Director of Photography and crew to execute the program’s creative vision and maintain visual consistency. Work closely with the post-production team to guide the editing process, ensuring that the final product meets quality standards. Coordinate with the finance and production teams to manage budgets and schedules, ensuring that production activities stay on track. Collaborate with Marketing teams to coordinate promotional assets and ensure alignment with strategic release timelines. Assist in managing talent relationships, ensuring that on-screen talent is supported throughout the production process. .Other duties as assigned.
- Experience in digital and/or long-form content production, with strong storytelling skills. Ability to manage multiple aspects of production, including research, location scouting, and talent management. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage schedules and budgets effectively. Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to manage the production process from pre-production through to post-production. Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to develop engaging content that aligns with the project’s creative vision. Effective collaboration skills, particularly in working with Associate Producers and other team members. Ability to manage budgets and schedules, ensuring that production stays on track. Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and learn from more experienced producers. Understanding of common writing and editing software, such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite Strong leadership skills Excellent interpersonal skills Able to multi-task and manage time well Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. Candidates must be willing to work in a hybrid environment but provide their own transportation to the station. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support departmental events or during high-volume periods (membership campaigns).
