Position SummaryMi Escuela Montessori is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and student-focused After School Assistant to support our After Care Program. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, promotes healthy lifestyles, and creates a safe, engaging, and positive environment for students throughout the school day and after school.

Hours: 230pm-530pm, Monday through Friday with the opportunity to substitute for additional hours

Essential ResponsibilitiesAfter Care Duties

Supervise students during the school's after care program.

Plan and lead age-appropriate games, recreational activities, homework support, and enrichment opportunities.

Maintain a safe, structured, and welcoming environment for all students.

Monitor student behavior and communicate any concerns to school administration and parents as appropriate.

Assist with student sign-in/sign-out procedures and ensure students are released only to authorized individuals.

Support snack distribution and cleanup following school guidelines.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred.

Experience working with children in a school, recreation, coaching, or childcare setting is preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and families.

CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and actively participate in physical activities.
