Build Something New — Where It’s Truly Needed
We are launching a brand-new pediatric practice in Sanford, North Carolina, and are seeking a pediatrician who wants more than a traditional associate role.
This is a unique opportunity to help build a practice from the ground up in a growing community with meaningful unmet demand for pediatric care. Families in Sanford and surrounding Lee County are actively seeking accessible, relationship-driven pediatric services—and this practice is being designed specifically to meet that need.
From day one, you’ll play a central role in shaping the clinical model, patient experience, and long-term vision of a practice built to serve the community for years to come.
Why Sanford?
Sanford offers a rare combination of small-town accessibility and proximity to some of North Carolina’s most desirable destinations:
- 40 minutes to Raleigh and the Research Triangle
- 30 minutes to Southern Pines & Pinehurst (top-ranked golf and lifestyle destination)
- Easy access to Chapel Hill and Durham
- Just a few hours to North Carolina’s beaches or the Blue Ridge Mountains
You’ll find:
- A family-friendly, fast-growing community with increasing investment and development
- Affordable housing and short commutes compared to larger metro areas
- A strong sense of community and opportunity to make a visible impact
This is an ideal setting for someone who wants both meaningful work and an accessible, well-balanced lifestyle.

As a founding physician, you’ll be instrumental in establishing how care is delivered and experienced in this new practice.
What you’ll do:
- Provide comprehensive pediatric care to infants, children, and adolescents
- Build long-term, trusted relationships with families
- Help shape clinic workflows, culture, and patient experience
- Participate in community outreach and local partnerships
- Collaborate closely with medical and operational leadership as the practice grows
This role is well-suited for a physician who values autonomy, purpose, and the opportunity to help build something meaningful from the start.

- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
- Eligible for medical licensure in North Carolina
- DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Interest in community engagement and practice-building
Compensation & Support
- Highly competitive compensation package
- Potential eligibility for Federal loan repayment programs (up to $100,000), pending approval
- Potential eligibility for North Carolina Office of Rural Health incentives (up to $100,000), pending approval
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Generous paid time off and holidays
- Malpractice coverage
- Full operational and administrative support—so you can stay focused on patient care
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This is not a replacement role or a saturated market. It’s a chance to:
- Be a founding physician in a thoughtfully designed pediatric practice
- Serve a community with real demand and immediate need
- Live within reach of Raleigh, Pinehurst, and major NC destinations
- Build a practice with long-term leadership opportunity and growth potential
