Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Junior/Mid Infrastructure Engineer in Brazil.
This role sits at the core of a next-generation financial infrastructure stack, supporting a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain and decentralized exchange system. You will contribute to building and maintaining distributed systems that demand exceptional reliability, low latency, and strong security guarantees. Working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional protocol teams, you’ll help ensure the stability and scalability of mission-critical infrastructure. The environment is fast-paced and deeply technical, focused on performance, correctness, and long-term system design. It is an opportunity to grow hands-on experience with production-grade distributed systems in a global, remote-first team. Your work will directly impact the performance of financial execution systems used at scale across markets. The role is well-suited for engineers eager to deepen their expertise in infrastructure, systems programming, and blockchain technologies.
- Support the deployment, operation, and maintenance of distributed infrastructure powering a Layer 1 blockchain and its decentralized exchange, ensuring stability and reliability in production environments.
- Assist in optimizing transaction pipelines for improved speed, throughput, and low-latency performance under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of secure, production-grade systems across cloud and distributed infrastructure environments.
- Help maintain high-availability systems and services, ensuring uptime, resilience, and fault tolerance across critical workloads.
- Learn and apply best practices in observability, monitoring, incident response, and secure infrastructure operations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve tooling, workflows, and system performance over time.
- 1–3 years of software engineering experience, ideally with exposure to infrastructure, distributed systems, or backend systems engineering.
- Working knowledge of systems programming languages such as Rust, Go, or similar.
- Basic understanding of distributed systems concepts including consensus mechanisms, fault tolerance, and latency trade-offs.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, with Kubernetes knowledge considered a strong plus.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar monitoring stacks.
- Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong willingness to learn secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant infrastructure practices.
- Good written and spoken Business English communication skills.
- Bonus: exposure to blockchain infrastructure, validator operations, MEV considerations, or decentralized exchange systems.
- Remote-first contract opportunity with flexibility in working location.
- Opportunity to work on high-impact infrastructure powering next-generation financial systems.
- Exposure to cutting-edge technologies in distributed systems, cryptography, and blockchain architecture.
- Collaboration with experienced engineers across global teams in a highly technical environment.
- Strong learning culture focused on performance engineering and systems excellence.
- Career growth in advanced infrastructure, from testnet to mainnet-scale systems.
- Work on systems where engineering decisions directly influence real-world financial performance.
