Job Description
Summary:
Responsible for the overall management and direction of manufacturing operations and site facilities management. Ensure production objectives are met at the lowest cost consistent with product quality requirements, while maintaining high safety standards and ensuring all legal and regulatory compliance. Develops operational business plans, budgets and staffing requirements to support growth to annual sales volumes.
Essential Duties:
1. Manage the daily manufacturing operations, utilizing Lean Operating System best practices (leader standard work, daily cell and plant KPI reviews etc).
2. Responsible for managing the site safety and environmental compliance programs and for ensuring that all employees adhere to these policies, including basic housekeeping and 5S.
3. Controls quality assurance, cost of production, warehousing, receiving and shipping of all materials through appropriate subordinates.
4. Coordinates development of long and short-range plans with corporate operations staff including annual budgets and strategic plans.
5. Develops and drives continuous improvement plan at site.
6. Ensure all personnel matters, including salary actions and disciplinary actions, are dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner and in accordance with Company policy.
7. Works closely with Planning team to ensure sales order demand and manufacturing capacity are properly aligned.
8. Determines facility policies consistent with corporate policies and directs/supervises the application of these policies for the site, while working in concert with onsite and offsite cross-functional peers.
9. Ensure compliance with the production schedule to meet or exceed customer service requirements.
10. Plan, propose and execute capital investment projects as required to support operations growth strategy and consistent with Company policy.
11. Works closely with cross-functional peers in design engineering, sales, product management, quality and supply chain to support local and Company-wide business initiatives.
12. Represents the Company in the community and promotes the Company's goodwill and interest in community activities.
13. Support direct contact with customers on complaints and service matters as required.
Requirements:Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

2. Demonstrated excellence in driving continuous improvement across operations, engineering and administrative functions in an industrial product manufacturing environment.
3. Strong analytical skill set and demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams to quickly analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
4. Demonstrated proficiency in P&L statement analysis and driving year-over-year cost reductions.
5. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; proficiency in use of MRP systems and knowledge of MRP work flow.
6. Demonstrated ability to interface with, and maintain effective relationships with, all functional departments and employees in a team-oriented environment.
7. Flexible and adaptive to change.
8. Inspires and motivates others to perform well and accepts feedback from others.
9. Well organized, dependable, punctual, strong work ethic with exceptional integrity.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Travel: Domestic travel required at times (10%)
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline; formal training in at least one continuous improvement discipline (i.e. Lean or Six Sigma).
Experience Required: 8+ years leadership experience in manufacturing operations with proven track record for high performance results. Experience in high mix and/or machining production environment preferred.
