Pay: $21.00 per hour.

Schedule; Part-time. Wednesday through Saturday 12pm until 5pm.

New Avenues for Youth seeks a compassionate and resilient Safe Place Coordinator on the Alba team.

As a Safe Place Coordinator, you'll be a consistent and intentional guide for youth navigating difficult paths. What You'll Do:

• Develop: Engage organizations, schools, and businesses in becoming Safe Place partner sites; Create and deliver trainings on Safe Place and youth experiencing houselessness.
• Outreach: Connect with youth and community to foster pathways and access to services.
• Post: Make materials to get the word out, including social media content.
• Document: Maintain accurate and timely records, ensuring that our programs have the data they need to thrive and continue serving those who need it most.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in social work, communications, psychology, or related human services field -or- combination of work and lived personal experience facing housing barriers as a teen. Will consider lived experience in substitute of years of Education.
• Experience creating and facilitating training.
• Experience conducting outreach to youth who face multiple barriers.
• Valid driver's license, access to an automobile, and active auto insurance.

This position requires a high level of mobility, meaning the successful candidate must be able to swiftly move and adapt to different situations and tasks. This may or may not also include different agency locations or locations within the community being served. A person in this position must be able to perform with or without accommodation the essential functions of this job including any physical requirements associated with this role. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be routinely exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. If the position may require the use of any personal protective equipment, New Avenues will have such equipment on hand for the employee’s use.
