The Sr. IT Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. This role requires strong coordination skills, proactive communication, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives from concept through completion.
- Manage multiple concurrent IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and according to quality standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, resource allocations, and dependency tracking.
- Coordinate with IT teams, leadership, and stakeholders to identify risks, resolve blockers, and maintain project momentum.
- Establish measurable success metrics and monitor project performance to evaluate progress and outcomes.
- Provide regular reporting on project status, milestones, risks, and opportunities to leadership teams.
- Facilitate project meetings, standups, retrospectives, and team updates to improve collaboration and execution.
- Support IT leaders and team managers in prioritizing initiatives, managing dependencies, and aligning resources.
- Promote accountability, transparency, and effective communication across technology teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery processes and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate is an experienced technology project leader with a strong understanding of IT operations, project management methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration. They should be comfortable working in dynamic environments where priorities evolve and strong organizational skills are essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience managing IT, engineering, infrastructure, or technical projects.
- Proven experience leading technology initiatives and delivering successful projects with measurable business impact.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and experience using tools such as Jira, Asana, ClickUp, or Smartsheet.
- Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience creating project plans, identifying training needs, and supporting adoption throughout project lifecycles.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, support operations, and system lifecycle management.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, PMP, or CAPM methodologies and certifications preferred.
- Background managing projects in healthcare, technology startups, regulated industries, mergers and acquisitions, or complex operational environments is a plus.
- Experience coordinating vendors or implementing SaaS solutions is highly desirable.
