Position Information
The University of California, Riverside School of Medicine (UCR SOM) is recruiting two part-time physicians (up to 0.50 FTE each) to support the launch of the new View Hospital Child & Adolescent Services Program, scheduled to open in March 2026. These positions will play a foundational role in supporting clinical operations, patient care, and the academic mission associated with the expansion of services at View Hospital. The physicians will contribute to the development of a high-quality clinical program while collaborating with faculty, hospital leadership, and interdisciplinary teams.The successful candidate must possess an M.D. or equivalent degree, be board certified and/or eligible to practice in the State of California by the time of employment. Applicants must qualify for medical staff privileges at UCR Health and UCR affiliated hospitals. The full salary range for the Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist positions are:-Associate Physician Diplomate (board certified + 1 year exp): $163,400 - $400,300; expected pay scale for this position is up to $330,000 annually.-Associate Physician (board eligible + 1 year exp): $142,100 - $348,100; expected pay scale for this position is up to $315,000 annually.-Assistant Physician (board eligible): $123,500 - $302,600; expected pay scale for this position is up to $290,000 annually.These rates are annual rates at 100% FTE appointment and will be pro-rated based on appointment FTE %. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure, certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
