Job Overview:
The Chief Cardiovascular Technologist, CVT, provides advanced clinical expertise and operational leadership within the cardiac catheterization laboratory,
This role oversees daily workflow, ensures high quality patient care, supports physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures, and leads the technologist team in maintaining clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent certification required such as RAD license,
• Must have current NJ license as certified/licensed CVT or RT,
• Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
Preferred:
• Experienced with EP mapping systems, IVUS/OCT, FFR/iFR, and hybrid OR environments
• Previous senior or led tech role

Essential Functions:
• Lead and perform advanced cardiovascular procedures including diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, PCI, structural heart interventions, EP studies, and vascular procedures.
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging, hemodynamic monitoring, and interventional equipment.
• Ensure accurate documentation of procedural data, radiation doses, inventory usage, and patient records.
• Maintain readiness of all equipment and procedure rooms, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintains equipment preventive maintenance list in collaboration with BioMed as required.
• Serve as a clinical resource for complex cases and emergent situations.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate CVT staff, Provide ongoing training, competency assessments, and professional development opportunities.
• Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives, including data review, case audits, and process optimization.
• Monitor adherence to infection control, radiation safety, and procedural protocols,
• Participated in morbidity and mortality reviews, accreditation activities, and performance reporting,
